To get started using a Wagn, you have several options:

• Choose an existing Wagn. If Wagn.org doesn't do it for you, check out the list of Public Wagns to see if one of them covers an area you're interested in. Most Wagns require that you be invited before you can edit. You will see a link to Request an Invitation atop the page. It's quick, and Wagners are friendly. We welcome most folks who aren't looking to sell pornographic materials.
• If you'd rather try your own Wagn, Grass Commons can set one up as subdomain on Wagn.org (eg. nurture.wagn.org). See the Hosting and Consulting page for details. We sometimes offer significant discounts and scholarships for projects (nonprofit, for-profit, academic, etc) aligned with the mission of Grass Commons.
• Finally, if you want more control, or you're interested in hacking on the Wagn, you can install and run a Wagn on your own system.

Once you have an invitation and have logged in to a Wagn, go nuts! Here are three things to try:

• edit a card
  To edit a card, just double-click on text you want to change (must be logged in). If you're not a fan of double-clicking, perhaps our edit buttons will suit you better.
  • What happens if I add my own text? It will be shown to everyone, I guess.

• create a new card
  You can do this by clicking on "New Card" at the top of the page or by adding a link to it in an existing page and then clicking on that link.

• add a connection to an existing card
  An easy one to try is adding favorite fruit to your own card. To do this, click on your name, which appears in the top menu whenever you’re logged in. Then click “join it to another card” on the menu below your main card. Find “favorite fruit” and click on it, or just add it by hand in the text box. Then you will be given a new field to edit, where you can say how "favorite fruit" is connected to you. In other words, what's your favorite fruit?
