Internet Relay Chat (IRC) is instant messaging focused around topics rather than people, and requires no registration. The Wagn channel is #wagn on irc.freenode.net.

How to use IRC

If you don't already know about IRC, the easiest way to join the chat is to click here.

...or go to http://www.mibbit.com/ and enter this information:

• Server: select "Freenode.net" (scroll down, it's under Techies)
• Channel: #wagn
• Nickname: (whatever nickname you like)

Downloadable IRC software is only a little more complicated, and has more features. Some recommendations for different systems:

* Mac - Colloquy
* Windows - mIRC, Trillian, Gaim
* Linux - Gaim, kvirc
* Cross-platform - Chatzilla
