confused about view on plus-*default

  • If you open this set, its +*default appears to be "low", but when you open that card it becomes "

    low
    Tickets by priority

    Low priority tickets

    ...
". What's up with that, and why does it have a view anyway? When you go to edit it, it's just "low", and it seems to be rendered as name view anyway (which makes sense, since that's what's specified on Ticket+*type+*content).

  • The actual content is stored as low.  the weirdness comes about because of the combination of two current peculiarities:

    1. pointers currently convert links in storage into inclusions so that we can do type handling and views and such
    2. *content and *default don't render inclusions when viewed directly; they just show the inclusion syntax.

Ah, and then it changes to

    low
    Tickets by priority

    Low priority tickets

    ...
when you open it because that's the view it would be in if it were being rendered normally.
