reliable showing of different versions
Go to Wagn 1.6's discussion and you'll see two comments after the long list of migrations. Click "View" on the discussion card and you'll see many more comments after the list. Clicking "View" on the main card gets you the version with two comments again.
I noticed this because I tried editing the discussion and got an edit conflict. I've been getting that behavior a lot when there shouldn't have been a conflict.

Hmm, not sure how I missed this one. Also not sure I have much to add at this point, except thanks for the meticulous reporting.
I'm not able to reproduce this any more.
